Our sheep venture started in early 1997 with a Suffolk bummer lamb who
lived in the house and was bottle fed. When she was big enough to live
outside, we bought her a California Red wether as a companion. Next to
come to the farm was a white Corriedale ram with his flock of crossbred
white ewes. In 1998, I decided to purchase two 3/4 Black Welsh Mountain
1/4 Icelandic cross, true black sibling lambs. In 1999, I purchased a 1/2
Black Welsh Mountain 1/2 Romney ram lamb who has turned into a beautiful
charcoal grey. He has since produced many outstanding lambs. That same
year, I purchased Daisy, a purebred Romney ewe lamb whose award-winning
silver grey fleece is an absolute pleasure to spin. In 2000, Pepsi, a four year
old blue-grey Lincoln wether came to live with us. In 2003, we decided to
purchase superfine merinos - two natural colored rams and a pair of whites.
We anxiously await 2004’s crop of lambs!!
